By Hand: Sol LeWitt

Most of us know the influential minimalist artist Sol LeWitt (1928-2007) by his ascetically spare white cubic sculptures constructed by a few dedicated fabricators or wall drawings produced by teams of assistants. This exhibition, the first Museum presentation dedicated solely to Sol LeWitt's gouaches, expands our view of this internationally acclaimed artist. Featuring more than 40 works, it presents his personal touch in his explorations of line and shape in this flowing, watercolor medium.
