F. Luis Mora and The Expression of Beauty
The first comprehensive museum exhibition of the artist's work since the internationally acclaimed exhibition in 1927 at the Comision Nacional de Bellas Artes in Buenos Aires, it included depictions of domestic life, picturesque landscapes, spirited genre scenes, and romanticized images of women from history and myth. These evocative works demonstrated the artist's intense awareness of his Spanish roots with his warm appreciation of urban and country life in the United States.
