2021 Congressional Art Competition
Monteiro Family Community Gallery
Each spring, members of the U.S. House of Representatives, in collaboration with the Congressional Institute, sponsor a nationwide high school arts competition. Join Congresswoman Jahana Hayes and the Mattatuck Museum in honoring the artistic talent of high school students from Connecticut’s fifth district. A team of jurors will identify three winning pieces to be kept on display for a year in the Capitol, Congresswoman Haye’s office, and at the Mattatuck Museum. Students displaying art in the competition are entitled to free admission (including family members) on Saturday, May 1st, and Sunday, May 2nd.
