  • September 24 @ 2:00 PM  Mark your calendars for Thursday, September 24th at 2:00 p.m., when members are invited to Averill Farm, a tenth generation family orchard tucked into the hills of Washington Depot. The Averill family has worked this same 260 acre property since 1746, and their orchards are home to over 100 varieties of apples and pears, many of which come into season just as the days start to turn crisp. Members will enjoy a small guided tour of the grounds. Expect the kind of quiet, working farm charm that makes Litchfield County feel like its own world.
