Event Navigation

A growing body of research shows that a new approach to nutrition and diabetes can actually addressthe root cause of diabetes: insulin resistance. Common advice for diabetes management used to call for portion control, carbohydrate counting, and, for those who are overweight, calorie restrictions. Fortunately, there is an easier way. A low-fat plant-based diet can not only improve insulin function, allowing the body to process carbohydrates more easily, but also reduce risk for complications associated with the disease like heart disease, weight gain, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, kidney failure, and more.

Come learn practical information about the relationship between food, nutrition, and diabetes in a welcoming community setting.
