Folklorist Derek Piotr has met and interviewed people near and far, traveling to places like Brazil and Belarus. He asks people for a song from their life; learning the story behind it. In 2025, Derek interviewed Waterburians. Here, he recorded songs from Cape Verdean, Haitian, Irish and Ecuadorian tradition. Come learn about Piotr’s rich collection of international and local recordings.
