School might be out for the day, but the fun is still IN at The MATT! Drop off your child for these fun-filled week-long experiences. Children will be immersed in the Museum’s galleries and special exhibitions while learning about history and developing their art skills with unique materials and techniques. Join us for this fun, safe, and educational childcare offering on days you might not get off! All supplies provided. Bring a bagged lunch. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. June 27 – July 1: Museum Masters
Learn about the life of world-renowned artists, their art styles and some of their famous works. Each day we’ll focus on a new artist creating our own pieces inspired by their style or medium, becoming mini masters of the arts!
July 5 – July 8: Under the Sea
Dive into an underwater adventure as kids explore the Shipwrecks exhibition, we will learn about what goes into shipbuilding, create our own sea shanty, discover the creatures that live under the sea, create their own unique underwater diorama and much more!
July 11 – July 15: Nature’s Wonders
Join us for a week of discovery as we explore the wonders of nature and create art from all that it has to offer. Kids will learn to sketch animals, and we will even have some special guests come visit the museum!
July 18 – July 22: Magical Mysteries
Celebrate the fantastic world of magic, unicorns, dragons, mermaids, and wizards galore. Kids will explore the mysterious world of magic alongside learning about the real-life mystic as found in the exhibition Mystery and Benevolence. We’ll create sculptures of our favorite mystical creatures, masks and more!
