MetARTmorphosis: CREATING A SELF-PORTRAIT Kids Art Workshop

Join artist Alicia Cobb as she leads kids through the creative process of making a self-portrait based on how they identify themselves. This mixed media project will include a step-by-step guide through journaling, conceptual design, sketching, clipping, painting, and collaging. Participants will be encouraged to include and use things that are important to them and which they identify with such as family, future, race, style, and gender.

$5 Members | $10 General

Alicia C. Cobb is a professional visual artist, fine body painter, and art educator. Her biggest inspirations are transformation, the human body, emotion, nature, and her children. Her original works can be found on many surfaces; canvas, walls, clothing, and people. Alicia is certified in therapeutic arts and currently works out of her studio space in Bridgeport, CT where she facilitates virtual workshops, hosts  private lessons, and works on commissions. She enjoys giving back and participates in community events and volunteers with organizations frequently. She acts as a mentor to many young aspiring artists and is currently an art educator in several extracurricular, after school, and summer enrichment programs throughout Connecticut & internationally.
