In Sonja Langford: Archives of Care\, the artist brings us on a journey through her research in local archives\, sharing the complex\, sometimes disturbing\, history of healthcare access and bodily autonomy through quilt-inspired wall hangings\, photography\, and installation projects. \nLearn More \n\nFRANNE DAVIDS AND THE WORLD SHE PAINTED\nOctober 10\, 2026-February 14\, 2027 | Opening Celebration October 11 | Remarks at 1:30 PM \nFranne Davids (1950–2022) was born in Waterbury\, Connecticut\, and spent much of her adult life navigating schizophrenia by painting in the basement of the home she lived in with her parents. There\, she created more than 400 paintings\, mostly featuring feminine figures. These “girls\,” as she often called them in her titles\, were her friends\, imaginary people with whom she shared her otherwise-reclusive world.
