As part of our #IBelieveInWaterbury Call to Artists, the Mattatuck Museum is offering workshops to better understand the city and inspire the creation of works. Join museum staff and fellow creators for a tour of Waterbury’s famous Holy Land theme park.

Holy Land USA is an 18-acre  theme park in Waterbury, Connecticut, inspired by selected passages from the Bible. It consisted of a chapel, stations of the cross, and replicas of catacombs and Israelite villages constructed from cinder blocks, bathtubs, and other discards. The park has been closed to the public since 1984.

Artists in all styles and media are encouraged to participate. Pre-registration is preferred.

The group will depart from the Mattatuck Museum at 4 PM.
