The Commercial Architecture of Downtown
Starting outside the Post Office (135 Grand Street), this tour highlights the richness and diversity of architectural styles present in the commercial core which span the late 19th through mid-20th centuries. Tour starts with a detailed look at the north side of Grand Street then proceeds down Bank Street, past the newly renovated former Howland-Hughes department store to the Apothecaries’ Building at Exchange Place and then down South Main Street.
