Event Navigation

Illustrated Lecture by Curator, Dr. Cynthia Roznoy

Recover a part of local history which was little celebrated or identified. Hear stories about Waterbury’s leaders of the women’s suffrage movement as well as educational and social organizations that were active in moving women towards equality. This lecture presents research for Dr. Roznoy’s article, Educate Your Daughters, published in the Summer issue of Connecticut Explored magazine.

In order to participate, we recommend that you download the Zoom app on a laptop or tablet before the presentation, and get into the Zoom room a few minutes early to address any technical problems. Registered participants will receive a link with the meeting URL via email.

You may register for free using the promo code ‘FREEREG20’. The current crisis is creating new financial challenges, including for organizations like The MATT. Paying the registration fee for these programs will help the Museum continue to bring information and resources to the greater Waterbury community. Nevertheless, the Museum wants to expand access to its programs during this time, so please access a free registration using the promo code above.

Supported in part by CT Humanities.
